Play and pause. Lock the phone. Come back — it should still know where you were.

Speed runs from 0.75× to 2.5×, with time-pitch so voices stay voices.

The sleep timer stops after a set number of minutes or at the end of a chapter, and fades the audio out instead of cutting a sentence in half.

Chapters and bookmarks are for moving around a book you already have.

Controls stay on the Lock Screen and in Control Center.

In Settings you choose how far the skip buttons jump and whether playback rewinds a few seconds after a pause. AirPlay sends the book to a speaker or TV.
