Armarium does not collect personal data. This policy describes what stays on the device, what we do not receive, and how local data can be removed.

Who we are

This policy is issued by Tomasz Mucha, Sweden, who publishes the Armarium app on the App Store as Armarium Books and runs this website (armarium.life). Contact: hello@armarium.life.

What we collect

We do not collect personal data, usage data or device identifiers. There is no Armarium account and no Armarium cloud. We do not use analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services that would send information to us or to a third party. Because we collect nothing, there is no further use of such data.

What stays on the device

Audiobook files you import stay on the iPhone or in your own iCloud Drive, wherever you keep them. Library, playback position, bookmarks, speed, settings and covers are stored on the device so the app can play your books. The widget, Siri and Shortcuts read what is playing from the app’s storage on the same iPhone. None of this is transmitted to Armarium. The app makes no network requests of its own, and covers are never downloaded from the internet.

Access on the device

The app reads only files and images you select with the system Files or Photos picker. It does not require access to your entire photo library, or to contacts, location, microphone or camera. If you dismiss a picker, the rest of the app remains usable.

Apple Watch

Apple Watch can play your books and control playback on the iPhone. Books, playback positions and commands travel only between your iPhone and your Watch over Apple’s Watch connectivity. They are not sent to Armarium.

AirPlay

When you choose AirPlay, iOS streams the audio to the speaker or TV you picked. Armarium does not send it anywhere else.

Third parties

We do not share user data with third parties, analytics tools, advertising networks, parent companies or other related entities, because we do not collect it. There are therefore no third parties that receive user data from us. Purchases and refunds are processed by Apple under Apple’s terms. If you keep files in iCloud Drive, that storage is Apple’s service, not an Armarium cloud. If you choose in iOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. We use them only to fix bugs.

This website

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you set Light or Dark, or choose a language, that preference is stored in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to us. You can remove it by clearing this site’s data in the browser.

Retention and deletion

We do not retain personal data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on request. To remove local app data, delete the Armarium app and, if you wish, the audiobook files from the device. There is no consent to withdraw, because we do not collect data that would require consent. If you believe we hold something in error, write to hello@armarium.life.

Children

The app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated text will be published at this URL and the date above will change.
