FAQ
Which files does it play?
mp3, m4b, and m4a files you already own.
Is there a store of titles?
No. Armarium is a player, not a catalog.
Do I sign in?
No. There is no Armarium login.
Where do the files live?
On your iPhone. Import from Files, iCloud Drive, or AirDrop. Listening does not go through our servers.
Does the Watch play on its own?
Yes. Listen on the Watch with Bluetooth headphones, or use it as a remote for the book playing on the iPhone.
How is my place saved?
Per book, on the iPhone. A jump you did not mean can be undone.
How do I add books?
Tap + in the library and choose Choose Library Folder. Pick the folder with your audiobooks in Files or iCloud Drive. Each file or subfolder in it becomes one book. Add from Files adds a single book.
New books don’t appear. What now?
Put them in your library folder, then tap + and Scan. Armarium does not scan in the background.
A book says “In iCloud”.
The file is not on the iPhone yet. Tap the book to download it. Armarium never downloads your whole iCloud Drive by itself.
Where do chapters come from?
From the m4b file, from a .cue sheet next to a single audio file, or from the files in the book’s folder.
How do I change a cover?
Choose an image from Photos or Files. Armarium also uses the cover inside the file or an image in the book’s folder. Covers are never downloaded from the web.
What do I need?
An iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Apple Watch needs watchOS 26 or later.
What about a refund?
Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. In the App Store, open your Apple Account, then Purchase History, find Armarium, then Report a Problem.
